In 2024, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) successfully obtained the Medical Device QMS (Quality Management System) certification for three innovative smart medical imaging and auxiliary system technologies. These certified technologies include the “AI-Assisted Brain Tumor Detection System,” the “Intensive Care Early Warning Platform,” and the “Anesthesia Delivery Puncture Needle.”
Highlights of the Intensive Care Early Warning Platform (NEXUS-AI)
Among these breakthroughs, the “Intensive Care Early Warning Platform (NEXUS-AI),” developed by Professor Albert C. Yang’s team, has garnered significant attention. Utilizing an AI closed-loop algorithm, the platform provides early warnings for sepsis within 6 hours. This assists intensive care unit (ICU) medical staff in making precise diagnoses and treatment decisions, significantly improving outcomes for critically ill patients.
